At our office, Primary Care means action and is not a passive noun. Therefore, we define everything we do at A.S. Kerpe, M.D., Internal Medicine, as moving toward Primary Caring — When Health Meets Heart
Dr. Kerpe has been practicing the Batavia/Geneva area for 30 years. His solo, independent practice is relationship-based and emphasizes a philosophy of active “Primary Caring–Where Health Meets Heart.” For his adult patients, Dr. Kerpe’s clinical interests include diabetes, migraines, hypertension, weight loss, and alternative/complementary therapies
Cathie is the first smiling face you’ll see when you walk in the office and is the trusted voice you’ll hear on the phone. She is a scheduling superstar at accommodating any routine or sick visits you may need. You’ll never get a robocall from our office. Cathie cares every day by giving you a personal connection. Coming to us from a retail background her exceptional customer service abilities enable her to handle three busy phone lines, take messages, give reminder calls. And make everyone feel comfortable and welcome. Be sure to look for her personal decorating and hospitality touches throughout the office …check out the pens, for a hint. We thank Cathie for keeping “Doc” nourished by bringing him her delicious homemade meals for lunch.
In the complicated and ever-changing world of commercial insurance and Medicare, Sheri will help you navigate the confusing maze of benefits, billing, claims, plans, and statements. Sheri brings her extensive 30-year career with a major insurance carrier to Dr. Kerpe’s practice, where she oversees the internal operations of our external billing office. Sheri is able to untangle the most convoluted insurance claim and end up with the true balance or credit for the patient. You’ll find her to be a wealth of resources to answer your questions and allow you to grow in your understanding.
Melody is most definitely the office night owl of the family. With self-described and well-seasoned skills as a hostage negotiator and air traffic controller, you’ll find her dealing with the Kerpe clan most mornings, then tackling the office in the afternoons, evenings and each weekend. She’s earned a “Mommy MD” degree with her experience in caring for one daughter with Ehlers-Danlos syndrome and two disabled parents over the years. You’ll see that “Mel” shares the office with Sheri and together they review patient statements, input, correct insurance information to avoid and payment delays, and pursue new insurance contracts. Mel says she hopes to ignite personal action and inspire healing with her husband by using her “real,” 15 years professional experience in marketing and public relations. Look for her articles to appear in local media and online outlets. Among the areas in Mel’s wheelhouse include: marketing for a semi-custom home builder, local advertising agency and several non-profit organizations and annual musical events.
