Ever wonder what’s going on in Dr. Kerpe’s office or what his staff does outside the office at 2172 Blackberry Drive, Suite 204 in Geneva? You’ll be surprised to see a few familiar faces turn up in different ways than you’re used to.
It’s a Girl!
We are happy to announce the birth of Nathania Olaitan on January 3, 2019, to Kehinde and Daniel Olaitan of Naperville. If you recall, Kehinde is a Nurse Practitioner student from the University of Alabama, who brightened up the office during her first clinical rotation with Dr. Kerpe last Fall. She finished the semester just days before her due date and was totally surprised when the staff threw her a very pink baby shower.
The big news, however, is that Kehinde will be returning to our office on June 1, 2019, to start her second clinical rotation with Doc!
Sheri Sees Results in Strength Training
Sheri Kramer serves as our billing specialist, and she routinely flexes her muscles with all of those complicated insurance claims and patient account issues. After undergoing a knee and hip replacement several years ago, Sheri came to Sonny Khamvongsa at Higher Level Fitness in St. Charles with some health limitations. At 72 years young, Sheri takes two intensive classes with her adult daughters each week.
In a recent Facebook post from Higher Level Fitness, Khamvongsa highlights Sheri’s accomplishments. He explains that “by putting all her trust in us, she was able to gain increased mobility, flexibility, and strength. It was gratifying to witness how much she has accomplished! Sheri is an incredible lady. I know nothing can stop her.”

Two 10Ks in 30 Days Keeps Melody Moving
Melody Kerpe, Doc’s other half, is on a roll with her running recently having just completed two 10K runs in the past 30 days. On April 20, 2019, she joined runners from the Fox Valley area and beyond for the SLY FOX HALF-MARATHON in St. Charles. The course started downtown St. Charles and headed west on Dean Street, then up north through some beautiful rolling neighborhoods on the east side of Randall. “It was a great course, a clear day, and a good thing that race wasn’t held one week earlier since it snowed!” Mel reflects. Registration has already begun for the 2020 Sly Fox Half Marathon scheduled for April 18, 2020, which will include the half-marathon, 10K and 5k faces next year. Visit www.slyfoxhalf.com
Two short weeks later, Melody was among the more than 1,600 people who walked and ran to raise money for Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital in St. Petersburg, Fla., on Saturday, May 18, 2019 for the RUN FOR ALL CHILDREN 10K started in front of the hospital where young patients and their parents could see participants waving to them before the race began. “Even though the race started at 7 a.m., we had to leave by 5 a.m. to get to St. Petersburg,” she explained. “I understand now why it started so early since the cool, early morning breeze gave way to more a tropical-like temperature in the 90’s before the race ended.” Mel hopes to add some more races to her training this summer.
